The Boston Red Sox have put themselves in a great position, leaving Fenway Park with a 2-0 lead in the World Series after a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies last night.

Curt Schilling gave up a run in the first inning last night and then settled down to turn in another one of his epic October performances. He has now won a playoff game while he has been in his 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, a remarkable feat.

The Rockies got a strong starting pitching performance as well, but it wasn’t enough. They will now need to regroup in a hurry heading back to Coors Field, otherwise they could quickly find themselves on the verge of being swept.
