The Notre Dame Fighting Irish defeated the Air Force Falcons 39-17 on the road on Saturday. The Irish came into the game ranked ninth in the country and improved to 9-1, while the Falcons fell to 4-5.

Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn shredded the Air Force defense, going 14-19 for 207 yards passing with four touchdown passes, including one to receiver Jeff Samardzija who had six catches for 106 yards.

Fighting Irish running back Darius Walker had a field day as well, carrying the ball 15 times for 153 yards rushing and one touchdown.
