Outlook: The West Virginia Mountaineers played in a watered-down Big East this year to earn their berth. They have a talented, athletic quarterback in Pat White who likes to run. Their defense is solid but not spectacular and really hasnt been tested by any explosive offenses this year.
The Georgia Bulldogs have been thoroughly tested in the SEC and may have gone undefeated had QB D.J. Shockley not missed a game with an injury. He can beat you with his arms and with his legs. They have a tough running back in Danny Ware. The Georgia defense is also solid and will give the Mountaineers problems because of their speed.
Prediction: This game really shouldn’t be that close, as the Bulldogs just have too much talent. Georgia 38 West Virginia 17
