Outlook: Penn State had a terrific year after struggling the last several seasons. Quarterback Michael Robinson was a threat with his arm and legs and coach Joe Paterno played some young freshmen at wide receiver that made major impacts in the passing game. Their defense is outstanding, one of the best in the country.
Florida State snuck into the BCS after upsetting Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship game. This came after a final stretch of the season that saw them stumble toward the finish line, losing 3 of their final four games. The Seminoles have issues on offense with a patchy offensive line and inexperienced QB Drew Weatherford. They counter with a nasty, aggressive defense that will get after the quarterback.
Prediction: Penn State’s defense will be too much for the ‘Noles offense. Penn State 27 Florida State 14
