Jamaican singer Ziggy Marley, son of the famous reggae musician Bob Marley, has developed a sound all his own over his 30+ years spent in the music industry. From recording his first song with his father and siblings in 1979 to his latest work, Ziggy Marley has shown that his unique sound can stand the test of time.

The oldest son of famous musician Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley was originally christened "David," but later adopted the nickname "Ziggy" from his father. His first musical experience was recording a song with his family in 1979 when Ziggy was just 11 years old. His siblings Cedella, Stephen and Sharon came to be known as The Melody Makers and recorded together from 1985 to 2000.

Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers released eleven studio albums together, including Play the Game Right (1985), Jahmekya (1991) and Fallen Is Babylon (1997).

Into the late 1990s, the Melody Makers popularity began to decline and Ziggy started focusing on his solo career. He released his first studio album, Dragonfly, in 2003. His real success came with the 2006 album, Love Is My Religion, which won him a Grammy for Best Reggae Album.

Not only is Ziggy a talented artist, he's also a devoted father. He has six children, Daniel Marley, Justice Marley, Zuri Marley, Judah Victoria, Gideon Robert Nesta and Abraham Selassie Robert Nesta, and resides in Miami with wife Orly Marley.

Using his experience as a father, Ziggy debuted a children's album, Family Time, for his third solo work. The album was a success and won a Grammy for Best Musical Album for Children. Since then he has debuted another studio album, Wild and Free, in June 2011 with plans to tour throughout 2012 and 2013.
