With three albums released in the last three years, Weezer is on a recording streak and a touring streak to the delight of their fans. In support of their hard work, Weezer is heading up a small tour running from Oct. 29 at the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans through Jan. 8 at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.

Along the way, the Memories Tour is also making stops at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta on Oct. 30; the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif. on Nov. 26-27; the Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco on Nov. 29-30; the Orpheum Theatre in Boston on Dec. 14-15; and the Roseland Ballroom in New York on Dec. 17-18.

Hurley, the band's eighth studio album, was released in mid-September. In addition, in November the band is also releasing Death to False Metal, a collection of songs that have never made it to the final albums.

Even though they have a ton of new material to choose from during the tour, the band has decided to focus on past albums, as they will play from Blue on each city's first performance night, while the second night features songs from Pinkerton.

Weezer, who will forever be remembered for hits like "Beverly Hills," "Buddy Holly," "Say It Ain't So" and "Pork and Beans," was spurred to fame just one year after the band had their first practice. They formed in February 1992, were signed to Geffen Records in June 1993, and became an instant hit on MTV with "Undone The Sweater Song" and "Buddy Holly" from their Blue album in 1994.
Following the release of their first album, the band took home several awards, including four MTV Video Music Awards and two Billboard Video Music Awards.

Following a busy tour in support of the Blue album, the band headed back to their homes in Connecticut to begin on the second album. The result was Pinkerton, which some critics called one of their worst albums, though it's since been claimed as one of the most important albums of the decade for its introduction of the emo genre.

The band went on hiatus from 1997-2000, but returned with a vengeance, producing the Green album in 2001 and Maladroit in 2002. As soon as the band finished Maladroit, they started work on their fifth studio album. Though they recorded a large amount of material for use, it would still be another three years before Make Believe (2005) debuted.

The wait was well worth it, however, because the popular song "Beverly Hills" was the first ever Weezer song to hit No. 1 on Billboard's Modern Rock chart. Additionally, it was nominated for a Grammy Award the band's first ever nomination.

After another three year span, Weezer came back with one album and tour after another: the Red album (2008), Raditude (2009) and Hurley (2010). In late 2010, Weezer will also release their first ever compilation album, Death to False Metal.
