Vince Gill News and Information
Posted 6/18/2009

With more than 40 albums between them, Vince Gill and Amy Grant are a Christian power-couple. Catch them performing together this holiday season through December.

Both are also currently on their own tours. Amys other touring dates are scheduled non-stop for her 20th anniversary edition "Lead Me On" Tour between now and the middle of November, and Vince is also scheduled non-stop until March.

Amy made her debut in 1977 when she was 17, and recorded her first Christian radio single two years later. Next came her breakthrough album "Age to Age" in 1982, which became the first Contemporary Christian music album to be certified platinum. In 1985, her album "Unguarded" finally went mainstream, and she started getting more recognition.

Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, she produced many pop-related albums, and it was 2002 before another Gospel album debuted. In 2006, Grant hosted her own reality television show called "Three Wishes." In total, she has won six Grammy Awards, and has sold more than 30 million albums.

Vince Gill debuted nationally in 1979 in the country rock band Pure Prairie League. He produced one album from that band, as well as the hit song "Let Me Love You Tonight." He switched record labels in 1989, and premiered his breakthrough hit "When I Call Your Name."

Gills awards range from Grammys to Western Performers Hall of Fame, and everything between. He was also inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007.

He and wife, Amy, have been married eight years.
