Vince Gill 2011 Fall Tour News
Posted 11/14/2011
'Tis the season for powerhouse couple Vince Gill and Amy Grant to kick off their sixth annual Christmas tour.

The 12 Days of Christmas tour kicks off on Dec. 7 at the Lyric Opera House in Baltimore and runs through Dec. 21 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Additional Vince Gill and Amy Grant tour dates include Dec. 10 at the Bell Auditorium in Augusta, Dec. 12 at the Roanoke Performing Arts Theatre in Roanoke, Va., Dec. 17 at the Ermens Auditorium in Muncie, Ind., Dec. 19 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta and more.

Together, the couple has released 14 Christmas albums, including Amy Grant's most recent Songs of Christmas in 2009 and Vince Gill's Christmas Collection in 2006.

In October 2011, Vince Gill debuted his 13th studio album, Guitar Slinger. The album peaked at No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums and No. 14 on the U.S. Billboard 200. Vince Gill acknowledged that a few of the new album's songs feel more personal than others like "Buttermilk John," "Bread and Water" and "Billy Paul," which is about a friend of Gill's who killed a woman and then committed suicide. To make the song even more haunting, it features guest vocals from Vince Gill and Amy Grant's 10-year-old daughter.
