Tool 2010 Tour Update Though there is no album on the horizon, Tool is heading out on a summer tour to the surprise of their fans.

The 16-performance tour kicks off on June 19 in New Orleans and concludes on July 13 in Sacramento, Calif. Between those dates, Tool will have a special two night performance at Denver's Red Rocks on June 28-29. The band is also scheduled to play four concerts in Canada.

Tool's last album, "10,000 Days," was released in 2006. It was tremendously successful, and the band received a Grammy Award for "Best Recording Package" that year. Tool toured in 2007 and during the summer of 2009, including a stop at Lollapalooza.
