Toby Keith is scheduled for another intensive touring schedule with the Country Megaticket tour between now and September 2009 in support of his latest album "That Don't Make Me a Bad Guy."
The first single, "She Never Cried in Front of Me," became No. 1 on the Billboard country charts hit shortly after its release last October. In March, the second single, "God Love Her," reached No. 18 on the charts.
Special guest Trace Adkins will be opening for Toby Keith.
Toby Keith is known for an intense touring schedule, which began in Oklahoma when he was traveling to local bars to promote his first single over 20 years ago.
In 1993, Keith jumped onto the scene with several hit singles, including "Should've Ben a Cowboy," "A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action" and "Wish I Didn't Know Now." Keith was becoming known for his spunky honky tonk hits, and his image became synonymous with the popular image of a country bad boy.
Keith found particular success in 2002 with the release of "Unleashed," which sold over four million copies, followed by "Shock'n Y'all" two years later. During this time he found hits with the singles "Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue," "Who's Your Daddy," "Whiskey Girl" and "American Soldier."
The singer was in the news for his unabashed patriotism - "Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue" documents his feelings in the wake of September 11, 2001, and when Dixie Chick Natalie Maines spoke against President George W. Bush, Keith was one of the first artists to object.
Keith's last album was "Big Dog Daddy," which includes the hits "High Maintenance Woman" and "Love Me if You Can." He has toured behind the effort as part of the Country Megaticket, pairing occasionally with Montgomery Gentry for select shows.
