Third Eye Blind, who just released their fourth studio album "Ursa Major" in August, is currently on tour throughout the U.S. until the end of December.
Third Eye Blind, which is sometimes abbreviated 3EB, formed in San Francisco in the early 1990s. Their first demo was released in 1993, though their first album didn't come out until 1997. Possibly their best-rated album to date, also called "Third Eye Blind," peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Their other albums were "Blue" in 1999 and "Out of the Vein" in 2003. The next anticipated album, which currently has no release date, is rumored to be called "Ursa Minor."
The group has had several changes of recording labels beginning when Elektra Records was absorbed into another record company and Warner Music cut them from their play list. Now the band releases albums under their own Mega Collider label.
The band's current line-up is Stephan Jenkins (vocals, guitar), Brad Hargreaves (drums, percussion) and Tony Fredianelli (guitar, vocals).
