The Swell Season is touring North America this summer in continuing support of their October 2009 album "Strict Joy."

The tour kicks off on May 15 in Kalamazoo, Mich., and runs through Aug. 22 in Vancouver. Notable stops along the way include the Nelsonville Music Festival in Ohio on May 16; a two-night performance at the Winnipeg Folk Fest on July 9-10; Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles in July 18; the Newport Folk Fest in Rhode Island on Aug. 1; and the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival in Lyons, Colo., on Aug. 14.

Following their North American tour, the Swell Season is heading to France and the United Kingdom for two performances.

"Strict Joy" is the third studio album by Swell Season, which is comprised of Glen Hansard and Marketa Irgova.
