The Smashing Pumpkins are touring through late October in continued support of their most recent album, "Teargarden by Kaleidyscope Vol. 1: Songs for a Sailor."

The U.S. tour kicks off on Oct. 5 at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles and runs through Oct. 22 at the Tower Theatre in Philadelphia. Their eighth studio album, which debuted the first tracks in May 2010, is different from anything they have ever released. When all is said and done, the album will be comprised of 44 songs, spaced out on four albums. "Volume 2: The Solstice Bare" debuted in November 2010 and the third album is forthcoming.

After much band member turmoil and turnover, frontman and founder Corgan seems to have settled in with his latest lineup of mates, which includes Mike Byrne, Jeff Schroeder, and Nicole Fiorentino. They are currently touring together and set to work on the next release.
