The Pussycat Dolls are hitting the road in March with Britney Spears to celebrate her comeback. The ladies will join Spears to bring fans everywhere their special brand of spunky pop entertainment.
The Dolls, which developed out of a fifteen-year-old burlesque troupe based in Los Angeles, features Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thorton, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, and Kimberly Wyatt. The group got together in 2005 and have been dominating the pop charts ever since.
The groups debut album, "PCD," was released in September of 2005, and their first single, "Dont Cha," was a worldwide hit. The singles "Stickwitu" "Buttons" and "Beep" followed, solidifying the groups success. Collaborations with hit acts such as Busta Rhymes, will.i.am and Timbaland also helped to reach out to a new fan base.
After a two-year break, spent traveling and allowing Scherzinger time to attempt a solo album, the ladies released 'Doll Domination" in May of 2008. The album included the hit lead-off single "When I grow Up," and the recently-released second single, "I Hate This Part," is also burning up the air waves.
This diverse group has expanded out to a number of other ventures over their time together - in addition to Scherzingers solo singles, Thorton and Sutta collaborated on some tracks with various artists, Roberts was featured in a dance drama, and Wyatt appeared in the VH1 reality show "Celebrabracadabra."
Since their initial release, the band has spent much time touring, both in the U.S. and overseas, to support their efforts. This year, they will participate in one of the most anticipated tours of the year - "The Circus Starring: Britney Spears."
