The Cheetah Girls News and Information
Posted 6/18/2009

The Cheetah Girls began as a made-for-TV movie and have become a hit 'tween trio with hit albums and a massive tour.

The girl group, headed up by Raven Symone, began with a self-titled movie, which was massively successful. When Symone left due to her busy scheduled, trio Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan and Kiely Williams got together to record "I Wont Say (Im in Love)" from the Hercules soundtrack, and the rest is history!

The first album from the pop group was "Cheetah-licious Christmas," which included many classics and some originals, written by the girls. The girls went on a successful tour in the fall of 2005 to support the album, along with fellow 'tweeners Aly & AJ.

Bailon, Bryan and Williams filmed The Cheetah Girls 2 in 2006, and put their debut album on hold. They teased their fans with a number of news songs during their 2007 "Partys Just Begun" tour, and all tracks have a heavier pop influence than before.

While recording the new album, the girls worked on a number of Disney exploits, including a cover of the Cinderella song "So This Is Love." In the summer of 2007, the Cheetah Girls started to release singles off of their newest album, which was called "TCG."

The collection was successful, and the ladies got right back to work on their next film, "The Cheetah Girls: One World" in January of 2008.

In addition to the group work, the girls are also pursuing solo projects, including both acting and musical gigs.
