This fall, Styx is making history. That's because their upcoming tour is a special throwback to the late 70s for The Grand Illusion/Pieces of Eight Tour! Tommy Shaw (vocals, guitar), JY Young (vocals, guitar), Lawrence Gowan (vocals, keyboard), Todd Sucherman (drums) and Ricky Phillips (bass), with various guest appearances from original bassist Chuck Panozzo, are sweeping the nation to perform in their entirety their 1977 and 1978 albums, The Grand Illusion and Pieces of Eight.
Hits from the albums included "Come Sail Away," "Blue Collar Man" and "Renegade."
The tour kicks off on Oct. 14 in Evansville, Ind., and runs through Nov. 13 in Atlanta. Along the way, Styx also has stops in Salem, Va., on Oct. 25; Washington, D.C. on Oct. 27; Baltimore on Oct. 29; and more!
As a bonus, the band has re-recorded classics from the albums and will debut the new seven-song EP, titled Regeneration, Volume 1, at tour dates this fall. A brand new song, "Difference In The World," has also been added to the EP.
