Sinbad is heading out this fall, bringing his brand of comedy to intimate venues across the country.


Sinbad began his career on Star Search, where he appeared seven times and beat fellow comedian Dennis Miller. The funnyman eventually was featured in the "Cosby Show" spin-off "A Different World." He remained on the show from 1998 through 1991.

Sinbad made bit parts in films and on TV until he landed "The Sinbad Show" on FOX in 1993. He was a single father in the show, which co-starred a young Salma Hayek.

The comedian has recorded specials for HBO and hosted "Its Showtime at the Apollo" for two years, and has also been an emcee and a contributor for a number of shows and pageants, developing his knack for one-liners and thinking on his feet.

His small screen success led him to the silver screen - he starred in "Houseguest" with Phil Hartman, "First Kid" and "Jingle All the Way" with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In 2004, Sinbad was named #78 on the top 100 greatest stand-ups of all time according to Comedy Central.
