International artist Seal is traveling the U.S. on his "Soul" tour this Spring, which kicked off in late March and moves across the country through early May.
Born in Paddington, London, Seal joined the British funk band "Push" in his late teens. He traveled though Japan with the group, and left them for a blues band in Thailand. Eventually he began touring on his own and found his way back to England, all the wiser. He was introduced to producer Adamski upon his return, and he got his big break.
Seal recorded "Killer" on his debut album, which also included the singles "Crazy" and "Future Love Paradise." He gained fame internationally by performing with Queen at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert.
In 1994, Seal released "Seall II," which included the massive hit "Kiss from a Rose," the Grammy-award winning track featured on the "Batman Forever" soundtrack. He followed that up with "Human Being" in 1998 and "Togetherland" in 2001. Seal released "Seal IV" in 2003, which included the singles "Waiting for You," "Get it Together," and "Love's Divine," all of which were successful throughout the world.
A greatest hits album followed up the pack in 2004, and a live album from Paris was released the same year, and a CD/DVD collection "One Night to Remember" came out in 2005. "System" and "Soul" were released in 2007 and 2008, respectively.
While Seal has been releasing successful albums for over two decades, since 2004 he has become as well known for his love life as for his career. In 2004, he proposed to German supermodel Heidi Klum, who has since become a household name. They have three kids together, which has changed some of the nature of Seal's music. Whatever the content of his songs, fans still flock to the sound of this three-time Grammy Award-winning Afro-European soul vocalist and songwriter.
