Sasquatch! Music Festival Tickets

The Sasquatch! Music Festival is scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend, May 24th - 26th, and will feature headliners R.E.M., The Cure and The Flaming Lips.

Sasquatch! is held annually at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., and has been known to emphasize indie rock in addition to an eclectic array of more mainstream artists. This year a wide range of acts such as Ozomatli, The New Pornographers, Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, Tegan and Sara, The Mars Volta and The Hives will all be showcased over the three-day affair.

Saturday sets things off with a performance from R.E.M., a touring force this summer, as well as British act M.I.A., rock darlings Modest Mouse and alt rockers The Breeders, among others. Sunday marks a show from The Cure, plus identical twins Tegan and Sara, up-and-comers Cold War Kids and lots of other acts. The weekend is capped off with shows on Monday including The Flaming Lips, rockers The Hives and Mexican instrumentalists Rodrigo y Gabriela, with many more.

The festival was founded in 2002 and the first year was a small exploit, featuring headliners String Cheese Incident, plus Galactic, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Blackalicious, Soulive and Maktub. The acts were expanded in its sophomore year, including Coldplay in the top spot, plus Jurassic Five, My Morning Jacket, Liz Phair and Neko Case.

The Postal Service headlined in 2004, and shared the stage with Donavon Frankenreiter, The Roots, The Shins and Harvey Danger. Pixies topped the billing in 2005, and were joined by Wilco, Kanye West, She Wants Revenge, Benevento/Russo Duo, Arcade Fire and Matisyahu.

The festival extended to three days in 2006, featuring Nine Inch nails, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Beck, Wolfmother, Gomez, Nada Surf and Queens of the Stone Age. Last year the event was scaled back to two days, featuring Bjork, The Beastie Boys, Citizen Cope, Mix Master Mike and Many Chao Radio Bemba Sound System.

Organizers are trying their hand at a three-day event once again, and tickets are available for individual days or three-day value passes that can include camping, bringing the community feel that other festivals such as Coachella and Bonnaroo boast.
