For the first time in 10 years, Sade has announced plans to embark on a worldwide tour starting in June 2011. The smoky voiced songstress is supporting her latest release and sixth studio album, Soldier of Love.
Sade will kick off her North American tour on June 16, 2011 at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, followed by performances at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia (6/19), the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale (6/21), the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J. (6/24), and more than 50 additional tour dates promised.
In addition to hits from her February 2010 album, she'll also perform fan favorites like "Sooth Operator," "No Ordinary Love," "Never As Good As The First Time," "The Sweetest Taboo" and "Jezebel."

Despite a decade of being out of the spotlight, Sade hasn't lost any of her magic. Her signature smoky voice and seductive demeanor were back in prime form during her DC performance. She doesn't walk as much as slink across the stage while she alternately purred and growled through an amazing set list of many of her hits and crowd favorites deftly mixed in with some singles from her latest release "Soldier of Love." She is so lovely and time, and her 3 costume changes, have only made her more amazing. Sade's backing band, all the original members that have supported her for decades, were a tight and incredibly handsome ensemble of great vocalists and talented multi-instrumentalists. The sax player was incredible! They created a small, intimate jazz club feel but with full-bodied sound. Do not miss this tour! Who knows when, or if, she'll be back around.
