This Spring, the German band Rammstein will be touring throughout North America in support of their greatest hits album, Made in Germany 1995-2011.
The 21-city tour kicks off on April 20 at the BankAtlantic Center in Ft. Lauderdale and wraps up on May 25 at the Toyota Center in Houston. Additional Rammstein tour dates include April 25 at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, May 1 at the Centre Bell in Montreal, May 8 at the Target Center in Minneapolis and May 22 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Made in Germany 1995-2011 features 17 remixes and 16 songs from all six of their albums: Sehnsuct, Mutter, Reise, Reise, Herzeleid, Liebe ist Fur Alle da and Rosenrot.
Since their formation in 1994 all six members Till Lindemann, Richard Z. Kruspe, Paul H. Landers, Oliver "Ollie" Riedel, Christoph "Doom" Schneider and Christian "Flake" Lorenz have remained with the band. It's no surprise why any musician would want to stay, just look at Rammstein's success. In the course of just over 15 years they have sold more than 15 million albums worldwide, released six studio albums, two live albums and countless singles.
Not only are they famous for their music, but their live shows are out of this world. The band has such an affinity for pyrotechnics that Rammstein fans eventually coined the phrase "Other bands play, Rammstein burns!" Since the majority of their audience doesn't understand the pre-dominantly German lyrics, the members have also taken their on-stage presence over the top with outrageous costumes like fat suits and space suits, stage design and lighting shows.
Their first compilation album, Made in Germany 1995-2011, debuted in December 2011 and features all Rammstein's best songs from each album. After the album's release they embarked on a worldwide tour.
