Public Enemy, also known as PE, is a seminal hip hop group from Long Island, New York, known, in accord to their fans, for "their politically charged lyrics, criticism of the media, and active interest in the concerns of the African American community"; for others, they are known for "their aggressive artistic expression and behaviour, and for apologize the violence, chauvinism, crime and reverse racist hate".
