Poison is touring this summer behind a new collection inspired by front man Bret Michaels VH1 reality show, "Rock of Love."

The band, which ushered in the glam metal scene in the 1980s, has most recently been seen on a number of reality TV shows - but they still make time for their fans. They will be on the road through early September.

Poison came together in Pennsylvania and moved to California to find fame on the Sunset Strip. The group was noted for their theatrical shows and "glam" image, which featured lots of hairspray, makeup and tight clothing.

The bands debut, "Look What the Cat Dragged In" was released in 1986. It included the hits "Cry Tough," "Talk Dirty to Me," "I Want Action" and "I Wont Forget You." Over time, the album hit No. 3 on the Billboard and sold six million copies.

The collective really found success with "Open Up and Say…Ahh!" in 1988. The album included the hits "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "Nothin but a Good Time," "Fallen Angel" and "Your Mama Dont Dance."

The band continued to release albums, battling personal demons along the way. A Greatest Hits collection was released in 1996, which went platinum. In 2006, after coming back together and releasing a few more albums, the group toured for their 20th Anniversary on the "20 Years of Rock" tour with Cinderella and Endeverafter - it was one of the most successful tours of the year.

In 2007, the group released "Poisond!" - a collection of covers that sold very well and continued the movement of veteran bands putting their spin on other bands classics.
