It is in a small and dark studio at the bottom of an obsolete Montreal cellar that the group PLASTER was born in 2001. Formed by Alex McMahon at the keyboards (Daniel Bélanger, Lhasa, Ariane Moffatt) and Jean-Phi Goncalves at the drums (Dumas, Martin Léon, Afrodizz) the two former music school students wanted to create electronic music using standard jazz instruments. A year later, following an encounter with bassist François Plante (Afrodizz), the duet quickly widened its horizons.
