Paramore is back in the U.S. this summer headlining the Honda Civic tour in continued support of the September 2009 album, Brand New Eyes. The band will be in the U.S. for 31 performances from July 23 through Sept. 19 with supporting acts Tegan & Sara, New Found Glory and Kadawatha.
Some of the highlights of the tour include the Delaware State Fair in Harrington on July 24; the Festival Pier at Penns Landing in Philadelphia on Aug. 4; Summerfest in Milwaukee on Aug. 14; and the Meadowbrook Music Festival in Detroit on Aug. 15. Paramore's U.S. tour wraps up on Sept. 19 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
Paramore formed in 2004 in Franklin, Tenn., at a private school that was attended by Hayley Williams, and brothers Josh and Zac Farro. They were later joined by Jeremy Davis on bass guitar and Jason Bynum on rhythm guitar.
The group was signed to a label when Williams, the lead singer, was only 14. Prior to the band's first studio album in 2005, Davis left the band. The remaining members decided on the album title All We Know If Falling, because of their grief over Davis' absence. Following a five-month split, Davis returned to the band and continues to play with them today.
They followed their first album with a stint in the Winter Go West tour, where they played with Amber Pacific and The Lashes. They later became the opening act for Bayside and performed in The Vans Warped Tour in 2006.
Paramore gained more popularity with their second studio album, Riot!, which debuted in 2007. Once again, they played on the Warped Tour and were soon getting featured on MTV and MTV.com.
After touring, the band headed to Nashville to record their third, and most recent, studio album, Brand New Eyes. The first single off the album, "Ignorance," was released in July 2009 and the album debuted in September. They played a small number of dates throughout Spring 2010, and are currently headlining the 2010 Honda Civic Tour. Following the U.S. tour, the band is heading to the United Kingdom for a handful of shows in November.
