2010 is the year for Nick Jonas. His departure project from The Jonas Brothers, 'Nick Jonas and The Administration' tours throughout January across the U.S., and the release of his debut album is set for February 2nd.

The album's title, "Who I Am" says it all. Nick's original desire to be a soloist, with brothers Joe and Kevin singing backup, ended up becoming the Jonas Brothers. This year marks the debut of his solo album and perhaps the debut of the musician he's always wanted to share with the world.

His role as a Jonas Brother, however, continues seemingly unshaken; the band's set list includes some renditions of Jonas Brother material that are close to his own heart.

Nick Jonas and the Administration are comprised of Nick on vocals, John Field on bass, and Tommy Barbarella on keyboard. Sonny Thompson also joins them on guitar.

Born in Dallas, Texas, in 1992, Nick's early diagnosis of type 1 diabetes at age 13, led him to develop the Change for the Children Foundation, which has as its goal to raise money and build awareness for diabetes. His OmniPod insulin pump saves the young singer's life. He lends himself to the cause and has been a partner with Bayer Diabetes Care as an ambassador to other young people living with diabetes.

Jonas' life has been dedicated to his craft: after being introduced to a talent manager at age 6, he began performing on Broadway at age 7. He and his brothers broke television cable ratings when they guest starred in an episode of "Hannah Montana" with 10.7 million viewers.

After more successes(Camp Rock, 2008), the reality short series, "Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream," documenting their Look Me In The Eyes Tour, ran for two seasons on the Disney Channel. He and his brothers are currently the stars of another Disney Channel series entitled Jonas, which premiered in May of 2009.

Nick and his brothers prove to be talented young men with natural appeal to their audiences. Nick Jonas and The Administration has a career ahead of them as well, which is inspiring if for nothing more than the individual standing up and telling his fans, 'This is who I am!' -when I am not being a Jonas brother, that is.
