Neil Young Tour Update
Posted 4/26/2010
Neil Young is bringing his honest lyrics, polished guitar work and ragged tenor singing voice to a venue near you with a 13-city tour kicking off his "Twisted Road Solo Tour" on May 18 at the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY. Following his first performance, Young will make stops down the East Coast in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Washington, D.C., before heading inland to Kentucky and Indiana.
On May 29, Young is traveling to the South to perform at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, followed by stops in South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. His tour wraps up on June 7 at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas. So far no tour dates for the West Coast have been announced.
Young has long been at the forefront of folk acoustic rock, which eventually earned him the title "the godfather of grunge," while also earning the No.2 spot on the "Greatest Living Songwriters" list in Paste Magazine, directly after Bob Dylan.
Young's most recent album, "Fork in the Road," was released in April 2009. The song of the same name was nominated for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance at the 52nd Grammy Awards.
