My Chemical Romance Tickets

My Chemical Romance is touring this spring after extending its winter tour in support of its platinum-selling collection "The Black Parade."


The Jersey City band is a rock quintet that jumped onto the scene with a number of other alt rock bands in the beginning of the decade but they proved their staying power after the success of three albums.

Gerard Way and former drummer Matt Pelissier formed the group a week after September 11, 2001. Way formed the band after watching the attacks, eventually gathering Mikey Way and Ray Toro and Drank lero to finish the lineup.

The group released its debut album three months after being signed to Eyeball Records. "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" was released in 2002 and garnered some mainstream attention after performing at Big Daddys, a popular venue in the area.

"Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" was the next release in 2004, and it went platinum within a year. Popular singles from the album include "Im Not Okay (I Promise)," "Helena" and "The Ghost of You." MCR went on a world-wide tour behind the collection, including co-headlining the Warped Tour 2005 with Fall Out Boy. Around this time, Pelissier was replaced by Bob Bryar.

In March of 2006, the group released "Live on the Murder Scene," a 2 DVD/1 CD set. The collection included a DVD chronicling the bands history and one with music videos.

Later that year, the group released "Welcome to the Black Parade." MCR did massive touring for the collection, which yielded hits with the title track and "Famous Last Words."

They began the Welcome to the Black Parade tour in February of 2007 with Rise Against, Thursday and Muse. They also toured with Linkin Parks Projekt Revolution tour, and are traveling right now.
