Comedian Mike Epps is all over the place these days. Whether he's starring in his Comedy Central show, hosting the BET Hip Hop Awards or on the big screen for the film "Lottery Ticket," you're sure to see him somewhere this fall.
As if that's not enough, he's also got a handful of tour dates scheduled throughout the fall!
Some of Epps' upcoming tour dates include stops at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts in Jacksonville, Fla. on Oct. 8 and the Historic Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis on Oct. 15. On Oct. 23, Epps will be joined by 'The Superstars of Comedy' at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City.
From the time he was young, Mike Epps' large family encouraged him to exercise his comedic ability, and when he was just a teenager he was already performing stand-up. He left his hometown of Indianapolis and moved to Atlanta to work for the Comedy Act Theater before heading to New York City to star in 1995's Def Comedy Jam.
In 1995, Epps was touring with the Def Comedy Jam and had starred in two HBO broadcasts of Def Comedy Jam, though his debut in film didn't come until 1997's "Strays" with Vin Diesel.
Mike Epps big break came in the form of 2000's "Next Friday," which he played Day-Day, Ice Cube's cousin. His journey in film continued with "Dr. Dolittle 2" (2001) "All About the Benjamins" (2002), "Hancock" and "The Hangover." His most recent ventures include 2010's "Lottery Ticket" and "Love Chronicles: Secrets revealed." He's also voicing the part of Boog in "Open Season 3" in 2011.
Despite his hilarious acting skills, Epps continues to have a love of stand-up comedy and is touring throughout the fall of 2010.
