Marco Antonio Solis makes up one third of the "Los Tres Tour," with fellow Latin American super stars Alejandro Fernandez and Joan Sebastian. Solis, who is well known for his hits "Quiereme", "Inalcanzable" and "Por Amor a Mi Pueblo", is uniting with the others for the first time to headline what promises to be one of the most exciting tours this spring.
A Mexican composer and record producer, Marco Antonio Solis will be playing the following dates in the US: April 17, (San Jose, CA), April 18 (Sacramento, CA), April 24 (Rosemont, Ill.), May 14 (Miami, Fla.), May 16 (Duluth, GA.), and May 28 (Houston, TX) and May 30 (Dallas, TX). On September 25th he will play another show in Universal City, Calif.
Solis was born in 1959 in Ario de Rosales, Michoacan, Mexico. His talents emerged very early, as did his musical career. At the tender age of six, Marco and his cousin, Joel Solis, comprised the singing team called, "Los Hermanitos Solis." A more mature Solis began his next project in the mid 1970's, "Los Bukis," which put him on the map of great musical performers in Mexico, Central and South America. His popularity extended to the Hispanic American community in the United States as well.
Solis became well know as both the lead singer and songwriter of Los Bukis, as well as writing for and producing popular singers in his genre, such as Matisela and Rocio Durcal. Then, in the early 90's, Solis made a commitment to having a solo career. His solo work yielded him more successes in the United States, including 30 entries on Billbord's 'Hot Latin Tracks' chart.
Solis continues to enjoy his achievements as a producer having worked with mega stars Olga Tanon, Ana Barbara and most recently Enrique Iglesias and Anais. Solis's work with Olga Tanon includes the album he wrote and produced for her entitled, "Nuecos Senderos" in 1996. This album sold over 500,000 copies and produced two number one hits, "Basta Ya" and "Me Sunes, Me Bajas, Me Subes."
Married to Beatriz Adriana, another Mexican singer, Solis has remained a very private man with little press or visibility around his personal life. He is a dedicated artist who will undoubtedly continue to increase his fan base all over the world.
