Mannheim Steamroller, the group that became famous for their rock & roll renaissance and video performances of Christmas music, is celebrating their 25th anniversary with a 2-CD set and a 58-city Christmas tour.
The tour kicks off in November and runs through the end of December throughout the U.S.
Exactly 25 years ago, Mannheim Steamroller released "Mannheim Steamroller Christmas." Since then, the group has sold 35 million albums and continues to be a holiday favorite.
However, the group didn't get their start in Christmas music. By the time they released their first Christmas album they had already released several albums, which has come to be known as the Fresh Aire series. The first album debuted in 1975 and the last, "Fresh Aire 8" was released in 2000.
They also have a slew of ambience albums and other albums, like "Romantic Melodies" (2002) and "Huskers Musik" (1997).
