For the past two years, Lynyrd Skynyrd co-headlined their summer tours together, giving fans a vivid fusion of hard rock pairings. This summer, Lynyrd Skynyrd will continue the trend with Poison frontman Bret Michaels and special guest .38 Special, a Southern rock band.
The tour kicks off on May 28 at the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, Mo., and wraps up on Sept. 3 at the LB Day Amphitheater in Salem, Ore.
Lynyrd Skynyrd, along with co-headliners the Charlie Daniels Band and Michael W. Smith, is also participating in all eight Sean Hannity's Freedom Concerts: Aug. 6 in Jackson, N.J.; Aug. 7 in Cincinnati, Ohio; Aug. 13 in Atlanta, Ga.; Aug. 14 in Orlando, Fla.; Aug. 20 in Tulsa, Okla.; Aug. 21 in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas; Aug. 27 in Las Vegas, Nev.; and Aug. 28 in San Diego, Calif.
Sean Hannity's Freedom Concerts have raised over $10 million since 2003 for the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund, which pays for the education of children of U.S. service men and woman who have been killed or 100 percent permanently disabled in an operational mission or training accident.
Lynyrd Skynyrd continues to tour in support of their September 2009 album "Gods & Guns." Michaels will play popular songs from Poison as well as some new, solo hits like "Nothing to Lose."
