Lisa Lampanelli is known as the Loveable Queen of Mean, and she has been hitting the road to bring her insulting stand-up routine to her droves of fans.
Lampenelli grew up in Connecticut, and graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in journalism and attended Harvard for a graduate program. She eventually worked as a copy editor for Popular Mechanics, and worked her way to Rolling Stone. She was a fact-checker and a researcher for Spy Magazine. She wrote for the latter two, plus Hit Parader. She interviewed hair bands of the '80s, including Cinderella and Slaughter.
After her time reporting, she began a stand-up career in the early '90s. Her first big break was in 2002 at the New York Friars Club roast of Chevy Chase. She also helped to roast Pamela Anderson, Flavor Flav, Jeff Foxworthy and William Shatner.
She released a comedy DVD, "Take it Like a Man? and was featured in the movie "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector? in 2006, plus Tori Spellings VH1 sitcom "So NoTORIous.? She also developed a sitcom for Fox. Another stand-up special, "Dirty Girl? aired this past January on Comedy Central and spawned the "Dirty Girl? CD and "Dirty Girl?No Protection? DVD.
Lampanelli was featured in the film "Delta Farce? with Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy and D.J. Qualls. She regularly tours while working on her many other exploits.
