Langerado Music Festival

News and Information
The 6th Annual Langerado Music Festival will be held from March 6 - 9 at the Big Cypress Indian Reservation in the South Florida Everglades, bringing a diverse selection of bands and their fans together for four days of music.

The event marks the "kickoff" of festival season, and this year it features an eclectic array of talent, including Beastie Boys, R.E.M., Phil Lesh & Friends, 311, Matisyahu, Thievery Corporation, The Roots and Govt Mule, among many others.

When the festival began in 2003, it primarily featured jam bands - moe., Charlie Hunter Trio, G. Love & Special Sauce and Medeski Martin and Wood topped the billing for the festivals initial installment. The first concert was held in one day at the Ft. Lauderdale Stadium Festival Grounds and brought over 3.500 fans from across the globe. Over the years, the festival has expanded to accommodate over 15,000 guests over three days of music.

As the years progressed, the festival expanded and more diverse lineups were formed. In 2005, the lineup expanded to hip hop, including De La Soul and more up-and-coming acts like the Benevento Russo Duo were brought out for the fun. In 2006 Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals shared top billing with The Black Crowes, while acts such as The Flaming Lips and Afrobreat Orchestra also shared the stage. Last year, Widespread Panic headlined and had help from Trey Anastasio, My Morning Jacket, Matisyahu, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones and Los Lobos, among many other collectives.

This year marks the first at Big Cypress Indian Reservation, which will provide room for more than just music - in addition to five stages, including the Everglades, Sunset, Swamp, and Greening stages and the Chickee Hut. KIDERADO the Kids Tent will include arts and crafts like mural painting, costume making and special demonstrations.

Camping will be available over the four-day festival, and a quiet family-style camp ground will be designated.
