The Kings of Leon are kicking off a tour this July in support of their latest album, Come Around Sundown. The 34-city North American tour is scheduled to kick off on July 26 at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Ala. and run through Oct. 4 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.
The last U.S. tour date is Sept. 12 at the Key Arena in Seattle. Additional U.S. tour dates include Aug. 12 at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, N.J.; Aug. 24 at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati; Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., and more!
The Grammy Award nominated, Seattle-based group Band of Horses will open the U.S. concerts, playing from their third studio album Infinite Arms.
The Kings tour comes quickly on the heels of the release of the band's own documentary film, "Talihini Sky: The Story of The Kings of Leon," which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2011. It takes a look at the band's rise from life in a southern town to fame, with the good, the bad and the ugly all unflinchingly revealed.
