Kelly Clarkson News and Information Kelly Clarkson, the country beauty from Oklahoma, is back on the road this fall with stops from coast-to-coast. She's scheduled to play at the York Fairgrounds in Pennsylvania, and the Allegan County Fair in Michigan, but after the weather cools off, she's indoors at some big venues like the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va.

Not only will the evening include songs like "A Moment Like This" and "Never Again," but guest performers The Veronicas and Parachute will be opening many of Clarkson's gigs.

When a young girl from Texas won the first season of the reality competition "American Idol" in 2002 with her single "A Moment Like This," no one could have imagined the massive success that she was about to enjoy, or how popular the show would then become.

After a failed attempt in Hollywood before winning the talent competition, the pop star quietly made her way up the charts with her debut album "Thankful" in 2003, which featured the hit Grammy-Award nominated single "Miss Independent." In 2004 her sophomore effort, "Breakaway," found Clarkson taking over the reigns of her sound and her image, cultivating an edgier persona to separate her from her reality-show past and usher in a tone with a little more rock. The change paid off - the album boasted five U.S. Top 10 singles and collected two Grammy Awards. "Breakaway," "Since U Been Gone," "Behind These Hazel Eyes," "Because of You" and "Walk Away" all got a massive amount of airplay, which made her "the most successful female artist in American Top 40 history," staying on the list for 111 weeks.

Clarkson has told many media outlets that touring is her favorite part of the music industry because she gets to interact with her fans. This latest outing should be no exception.
