Urban, raised in Australia, found success with Golden Road" in 2002, after ten unsuccessful years in the industry. The hit single Somebody Like You" helped him to score a spot on the Brooks & Dunn and Kenny Chesney tour, the hottest act in town that summer.

While peers such as Kenny Chesney or Toby Keith are known for their upbeat country anthems that go well with a beer in the summer, Urban has always worked with the more gloomy side of country, ala Johnny Cash.
