Keith Urban has bared his soul with country songs that have found him attention with mainstream fans as well. The singer is one of the many young country stars that have been crossing over honky-tonk lines, reeling in fans of all genres with his catchy songs and heartfelt lyrics.

Urban, raised in Australia, found success with Golden Road" in 2002, after ten unsuccessful years in the industry. The hit single Somebody Like You" helped him to score a spot on the Brooks & Dunn and Kenny Chesney tour, the hottest act in town that summer.

While peers such as Kenny Chesney or Toby Keith are known for their upbeat country anthems that go well with a beer in the summer, Urban has always worked with the more gloomy side of country, ala Johnny Cash. Some of his most popular songs include Tonight I Wanna Cry," Making Memories of Us," Better Life" and Stupid Boy."

While Urban found massive commercial success, he has also collected a number of critical accolades, including the title of Male Vocalist of the Year from the Country Music Awards for three years in a row and from the Academy of Country Music twice. Urban is also known for his recent marriage to fellow Aussie Nicole Kidman, as well as a stint in rehab for alcohol last year. It prevented him from touring thoroughly behind the album Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing," but he made up for it with a massive tour with fellow country star Carrie Underwood this winter.
