Kanye West and Jay-Z have teamed up for the hip hop pairing of the decade dubbed 'The Throne.' The new group name is also branded on the album, "Watch The Throne," which dropped in early August. Now, the duo is gearing up for their first ever tour.
The 'Watch The Throne' tour kicks off on Oct. 29 at the Philips Arena in Atlanta and runs through Dec. 18 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver. The last U.S. tour dates in Dec. 16 at the Tacoma Dome in Washington State.
Additional tour dates include Oct. 30 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.; Nov. 14 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Fort Lauderdale; Nov. 22 at the Centre Bell in Montreal; Dec. 3 at the New Orleans Arena; Dec. 9 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and more.
Prior to "Watch The Throne," Kanye's most recent album was November 2010's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." Despite this album's critical acclaim musically, West has been battling several media blunders over the last couple years. Now he's hitched his wagon to Jay-Z's star, and unvarnished hip-hop credibility, to overcome and surpass all the bad press. Their joint tour is one of the most highly anticipated outings of the year.
