John Mellencamp is kicking off a 20-city U.S. tour this fall in support of his August 2010 release, No Better Than This. His tour begins with a stop at Farm Aid 25 on Oct. 2 at Milwaukee's Miller Park. Mellencamp, along with Willie Nelson and Neil Young, created Farm Aid in 1985 as a benefit concert for America's farmers. This year's performers include the Dave Matthews Band, Jazon Mraz, Kenny Chesney and more.
Following Farm Aid 25, Mellencamp heads to Boston on Oct. 16 for The Speaking Clock Revue with Elton John and Elvis Costello, New York City on Oct. 20 and more before sounding things out with a two-night event at the Chicago Theatre on Nov. 26-27.
Highlights from his fall tour include Oct. 29-30 at the Indiana University Auditorium in Bloomington; the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Nov. 3; the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne, Ind. on Nov. 16; and the Historic Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis on Nov. 22-23.
No Better Than This is Mellencamp's 21st studio album, which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200, No. 5 on the Billboard Rock Albums and No. 9 on Billboard's Tastemaker Albums following its release on Aug. 17, 2010.
