Jill Scott Summer Block Party 2011 News This summer, Jill Scott is heading up a U.S. tour in support of her fourth studio album, The Light of the Sun. The 15-city Summer Block Party tour kicks off on July 26 at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston and wraps up at the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas on Aug. 27.

The tour, which is presented by Budweiser Superfest, also includes stops in Clarkston, Mich. on July 30; Chicago on July 31; Cleveland on Aug. 3; Washington, D.C. on Aug. 7; Universal City, Calif. on Aug. 10; Memphis on Aug. 17 and more.

Doug E. Fresh has been enlisted to host the Block Party, which also includes special guests Anthony Hamilton and Mint Condition.

The Light of the Sun is Jill's first studio album since her 4-year hiatus in 2007 and departure from her former label. She has since joined with Warner Brother Records for the new album, which is her first No. 1 U.A. album with popular songs like "So in Love."
