Grammy award winners Jill Scott and Maxwell are teaming up for a sultry summer 16-city tour, spanning from May 21 in Cleveland to June 25 in NYC's Madison Square Garden. 8current
While Maxwell continues to tour in support of his wildly popular "Blacksummers' Night," Jill Scott will be debuting some tracks from her upcoming album "The Light of the Sun: Words and Sounds, Vol. 4." The album will be Scott's sixth and is expected out in 2010.
In her 10 years of R&B experience, Scott has also tackled film/television actress and fashion designer to her notable resume. She starred in the films "Hounddog" and "Why Did I Get Married?" before moving on to the HBO series "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" in 2009, which earned her a nod at the 41st Annual NAACP Image Awards for 'Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series.'
Scott is also scheduled to appear in an upcoming episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and the film "Why Did I Get Married Too?" She is rumored to be in Director Tyler Perry's 2011 film "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf."
