Jeff Dunham
News and Information |
|
|
|
Jeff Dunham has been entertaining fans across the globe with his comedic skills, plus some help from his suitcase posse - puppets Peanut, Walkter, Bubba J. and the rest of the gang.
Dunhams ventriloquist skills have been heralded all over the comedy industry, and he has two-top rated specials on Comedy Central to prove it. "Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself," was released in 2006, and "Jeff Dunham - Spark of Insanity" hit stores in 2007.
Dunham has also been featured on "Late Night with David Letterman" and "The Tonight Show," plus "The Best Damn Sports Show Ever," "Blue Collar TV" and CMTs "Fast Living."
Dunhams ability to mesh his humor and his ventriloquism skills have certainly made him sought-after. His shows feature a number of interesting characters, all performed by Dunham:
Peanut is a purple woozle with green hair and one shoe. He hails from Micronesia, and is a self-described "comic genius." When asked about his missing shoe, he said "No man, I found one!"
Walter is a bitter old man, and relatively intolerant. He often unleashes all sorts of insults on the audience, and has sarcastic things to day about most current events.
Jose Jalapeno teamed up with Jeff after a pogo stick accident in Mexico, which saved him from being eaten put left him attached to a stick, or a "steeeek," as he would say. Jose often argues with Peanuts.
Melvin is a superhero with no real powers, and unfortunately can rarely seem to get out of the suitcase. He claims that he would be a much better superhero if he had a smaller nose and a bigger stature. He claims to actually possess the power of x-ray vision, and he can also fly (as far as Dunham can throw him).
"Achmed" is a dead terrorist, a skeleton with a turban and beard. He yells about terrorism, and his profession is a suicide bomber. Achmed is terrified of Walter, and unfortunately they share a suitcase.
This group of puppets, with Dunham at the helm, is making a splash all over the U.S. The only thing better than one stand-up comedian is a stand-up comedian with lots of quirky friends to join the fun!
