Jack Johnson Tour Update Jack Johnson is making a splash this summer as he tours the country in support of his upcoming album, "To The Sea." "To The Sea" is Johnson's sixth studio album and features the same soft, acoustic rock that fans of the Hawaii resident have come to know and love. The songs reflect Johnson's peaceful, ocean environment spanning "From the Clouds" to "Only the Ocean."

The album is scheduled for release on June 1, and Johnson kicks off his 35-city North American tour on July 9 with a stop at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, Conn. Johnson wraps up his tour with a two-day performance at the Santa Barbara Bowl in California on Oct. 13 and 14.

Johnson has said the title is "a reference to a father leading his son to the sea, with the water representing the subconscious. So it's about trying to go beneath the surface and understand yourself."

It's been two years since Johnson's last world tour, which took place after his fourth studio album, "Sleep Through the Static" in 2008. Ironically, that album was his only one to be recorded outside of Hawaii and relies more heavily on rock than his previous albums.
