Gov't Mule is bringing their Thread tour to the U.S. this summer in continued support of their 2009 release By a Thread.

The tour is scheduled to kick off at the Raleigh Boutique Amphitheatre on July 16 and runs through Sept. 5 at the Taos Mountain Music Festival in Taos Ski Valley, N.M. Highlights of the tour include stops at Artscape in Baltimore on July 17; the HullabaLOU Music Festival in Churchill Downs, Ky., on July 24; and Riverfront Park in Cocoa, Fla., for AEG presents: A benefit for Earth Awareness.

Gov't Mule will also be opening for the Dave Matthews Band in Atlanta on July 27, Tampa on July 28, and West Palm Beach, Fla. on July 28 and 30.

Special Guest Jackie Greene will be joining Gov't Mule on the majority of their 31-city tour.

By a Thread is the ninth studio album from Gov't Mule. It features collaborations with Billy Gibbons and ZZ Top.
