Govt Mule Tickets

Govt Mule will head out this summer, pleasing the fan base that theyve develops as a jam band. They are traveling behind their most recent release, "Mighty High" last year.

Govt Mule isnt necessarily a radio staple, but the band is certainly a big draw for summer festivals, including Bonnaroo, Wakarusa, Mountain Jam, Vegoose and New Orleans Jazzfest.

The group formed in 1997 as side-project to the Allman Brothers Band - Warren Haynes and Allen Woody developed Govt Mule out of a passion for '60s power rock trios. They released their debut album, "Dose" in 1998, which featured Black Crowes and Parliament/Funkadelic.

Woody died suddenly just after their sophomore release in 2000, and Haynes and Matt Abts continued to perform, after mourning time and a number of tribute concerts. The band continued to tour regularly, with a number of other jam bands including Phish, Widespread Panic and Primus. Eventually, they picked up Danny Louis and Andy Hess as permanent members of the band.

"Deja Voodoo" was the first album released with all four on board - it was put out September 2004, and followed by "High and Mighty" in October of 2007. The band continues to tour regularly - they are known for expansive shows, including one six-hour performance that featured 17 guest musicians.
