Gabriel Iglesias News and Information
Posted 6/18/2009
Though you can occasionally find him on late night comedy shows, Gabriel Iglesias is geared up for his upcoming 2009 tour. From February to June, Iglesias will be performing his laugh-out-loud comedy skits throughout the U.S.
Gabriel Iglesias had an interesting start in life, beginning at birth. When his father wasn't there to witness the event, his mother named him Gabriel (instead of Jesus Jose) and even changed his last name to Iglecias instead of Iglesias.
Thirty-two years later, Gabriel is now referred to as "Fluffy Man" more than his own name. He's also won awards for one of his three specials on Comedy Central. Before being disqualified in 2006, Iglesias was a finalist in the show "Last Comic Standing," and was also named 'Comedian of the Year' in 2006 by Comedy Central.
His other work includes doing voice-overs and making special appearances for TV shows, such as 'Family Guy' and 'My Wife and Kids,' as well as releasing his comedic DVD "Hot and Fluffy" in 2007.
