Combine Foreigner, Styx and Kansas, and what do you get? In addition to millions of album sales, tons of music awards and countless popular songs, you also get one of the best tours of 2010. The bands are coming together for the "United in Rock" tour, kicking off on May 6 in at the Dixon May fairgrounds in Dixon, Calif. The 34-city tour will hit most major cities in the U.S. before wrapping up on July 2. From July 22 to 31, they're also playing one show in Switzerland and three in Germany.
"These three bands represent the more rocking side of the classic rock genre," said Styx guitarist James Young in a press release. "With the countless great rock songs each band will be performing, this is going to be a guitars-a-blazin' good time had by all."
In addition to their most popular tunes, Foreigner will be featuring music from their 2009 release "Can't Slow Down," the first album with lead singer Kelly Hansen, who joined the band in 2005.
Kansas will also be sharing material from their 2009 album, "There's Know Place Like Home," which was recorded live. Styx's most recent album came in 2006 with "One With Everything," a CD/DVD combination recorded with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra of Cleveland.
