Fall Out Boy recently announced their decision to embark on the "Believers Never Die Part Deux" tour with Cobra Starship, Metro Station, All Time Low and Hey Monday in support of their latest album "Folie a Deux."
On December 16, 2008, Fall Out Boy released their fifth studio album, "Folie a Deux," as a follow-up to the "Infinity on High" album they released in 2007. The album got its name (which literally translated in French means "A madness shared by two") from their 2004 tour "Believers Never Die."
For "Folie a Deux," the band collaborated with artists such as Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes, Brendon Urie of Panic at the Disco, Elvis Costello and Lil Wayne.
They released the first single from the album on September 3, 2008. It was called "I Don't Care." The second single released was "America's Suitehearts," which came out in December 2008.
"For the first time, Pete's lyrics aren't autobiographical. The lyrics are written in character. Some are members of the band. Some are from the points-of-view of other people. He just didn't want to write about what he has been. It was important for him to do on this record. We wrote music to support what he was doing," Joe Trohman (lead guitar/vocals) said about their latest album.
