Evanescence Fall 2011 Tour News Throughout October and early November, Evanescence is touring throughout the U.S. and Canada in support of their newly released, self-titled album. The 13-city city tour kicks off on Oct. 10 at the Fox Theatre in Oakland, Calif., and wraps up on Nov. 1 at Terminal 5 in New York City.

Evanescence, which literally means gradually vanishing from sight, was a concern of the band's fans since the departure of their bassist and drummer, health issues of their guitarist and loss of their manager following 2006's album, The Open Door. However, the band members have finally been able to pull it together with the release of their third studio album, Evanescence, which debuts in October 2011.

Sweeping from west to east, the tour will run through California, Arizona and Texas before heading north to Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. After a short stint in Canada, Evanescence heads back to the lower 48 for gigs in Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York.
